Chaga mushroom tea, sustainably winter harvested from the birch forests of Eastern Canada.
Chaga, a fungus which grows only on birch trees, is known for it's ability to boost the immune system. Chaga is antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and currently being studied as a cancer treatment.
Grind your chaga as you would coffee, or leave it whole for a milder flavour. Simmer 2 Tbsps in 1 litre of water on low for a minimum of 30 minutes or infuse as a decoction. Strain into your tea pot and enjoy.
Save the grounds as they can be used up to three times without losing any flavour or medicinal potency. We highly recommend treating chaga like coffee by adding cream and honey or maple syrup to really make it taste amazing.
Chaga tea can be substituted for black tea in your chai recipe or for the water used to make your hot chocolate. Mix half and half chaga tea and coffee to add a healthy boost to your morning caffeine ritual or use chaga tea instead of water in your French press when you make your morning coffee.
